"Into Thin Hair" A Women's Hair Loss Support Group

You are not alone! We understand thinning hair and hair loss struggles!

If you've got thin hair to begin with, harsh salon treatments that
chemically color, straighten or perm hair can cause hair breakage.
Unfortunately, the woman in this ABC WPBF-25 news story on "Damaged Hair"
found out the hard way the limit of what 'torture' her hair could
take... http://www.wpbf.com/news/25830701/detail.html#COMMENTTOP

A medical evaluation with a hair loss expert can help determine if you are particularly prone to hair breakage.  The use of the new HairCheck trichometer can also measure your hair breakage and tell you if it is getting better or worse over time.

Medically-supervised non-invasive treatments, like low level laser therapy, nutritional modification or even topical medications can help your hair follicles produce thicker, healthier hair that is more
resistant to breakage or other damage.

I have noticed that salon treatments on already thin hair indeed damage them and thus such treatments should be avoided.

What are some of the alternative products you find work well for you?
